Do you want to support children’s well-being, learning and development?

Begin a rewarding career in children's services by enrolling in our Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

If you have a passion for working with children and want to learn more about supporting children's learning and well-being, then this is the course for you.

Successful completion of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care will allow you to gain employment in a wide range of early childhood settings.

This qualification provides workers looking to work with children in a supervised or unsupervised capacity with an understanding of child centred approaches, knowledge about learning and development, and using organisation policies, procedures and individual children's profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling the children to achieve their physical and mental development.

Undertaking this qualification will prepare you for work in early childhood education settings that meet the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

Job titles may include:

Kindergarten assistant
Nanny
Playgroup supervisor
Child care worker
Family day care worker
Mobile assistant

This course includes an integrated work placement component of a minimum of 120 hours. We organise the practical placement for students enrolling in this course.

It is required that our students obtain a Working with Children Check and undergo a National Police Check prior to commencing the practical placement. Practical placement may not be possible if a check that is carried out contains adverse outcomes. In this instance, you may not be able to complete your qualification and your employment opportunities may be affected. If you are aware of, or concerned about anything that may appear on a Police Check or Working with Children Check, please discuss this at your enrolment interview.
