This qualification will teach you the skills required to be responsible for designing and implementing curriculums that foster children's learning and development.
On completion you may also be responsible for supervision of volunteers or other staff. During the course you’ll learn about providing care for children. The course covers a range of units including: developing cultural competencies; ensuring the health and safety of children; use appropriate learning framework to guide practice; analysing information to inform learning and more.
This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

You will also gain the benefit of experience through the course with an integrated work placement component of a minimum of 240 hours that develops hands on experience and the practical application use of knowledge within the workplace and exposure to real workplace situations and challenges.
It is required that our students obtain a Working with Children Check and undergo a National Police Check prior to commencing the practical placement. Practical placement may not be possible if a check that is carried out contains adverse outcomes. In this instance, you may not be able to complete your qualification and your employment opportunities may be affected.
