This course prepares you to work in residential facilities, client homes and community groups. The qualification will help you develop the skills and knowledge required to provide personal, physical and emotional support to people who require assistance with daily living, including the elderly and people with disabilities.


This course includes an integrated practical placement component of a minimum of 120 hours. Students who enrol in this course generally complete practical placement with Ballarat Health Services (Ballarat) or Regis Aged Care (South East Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula). It is required that our students undergo a National Police Check prior to commencing the practical placement.
