“I wanted to change my career path and already knew from past experience that BRACE is a really good training provider. I like that it is a really welcoming environment where everyone says ‘hello’ to each other. My trainer also organised our practical placements, which was a big plus,” said Katie Absolom.
“Our trainer was always available. When I needed help, I just contacted her and she always responded. I loved completing my qualification with BRACE,” said Abbey McRae.
"I came to Ballarat from China over 4 years ago, where I worked as a bank clerk for 15 years. In July, I completed a qualification to work in Aged Care and/or Home and Community Care at BRACE Education & Training (Ballarat). I really enjoyed the course at BRACE as I was always encouraged, helped and supported by my tutors, classmates and the staff. BRACE delivers this qualification in partnership with Ballarat Health Services (BHS). In October, I got a casual job at BHS as a Personal Care Worker," said Lydia Zeng.
“My career started with BRACE. Completing a qualification with BRACE was my pathway to further studies and has enabled me to get to where I am in my career. Looking back to when I decided to enrol with BRACE, I could never have imagined that I would be in the prominent position that I am in today, successfully securing a position in the Ballarat health Services Education Department” said Loretta Braybrook.
"Since becoming a student at BRACE Education & Training I have learnt so much and couldn’t ask for a better trainer. From the first day I felt like I was at home. Terri is such a good trainer and from her I have realised I made the right choice in choosing to become a Personal Care Assistant. I enjoy the friendly environment and I would not want to do the course anywhere else. If I was to do another course, I would return to BRACE for sure,” Rebecca.
