SkillsPlus to deliver Transition to Work to support young people into employment

The Australian Government has announced that SkillsPlus has been awarded a four year contract to deliver the new Transition to Work service.   We were highly successful in our tender, and as a result we will be increasing our service delivery in Victoria. We’re excited to have been granted the largest share (300 places each year) in the South East Melbourne and Peninsula region.   Through the Transition to Work service, SkillsPlus will support: • Young people aged 15-21 on their journey to employment • Employers to recruit young employees who meet their business needs.   Our Transition to Work service will be an integral member of a consortium led by Wesley Mission and supported by Busy at Work Australia.   We will add the Transition to Work service to our locations in ...

SkillsPlus maintained their status as a 5 Star Provider

We’re thrilled to announce that the recent Disability Employment Services (DES) Star Ratings have been published by the Australian Government. The DES Star Ratings system measures the relative success of providers in achieving outcomes for job seekers. Every provider is rated between 1 – 5 stars with 5 being the highest you can achieve. A big congratulations to our Dandenong team. They have maintained their status as a 5 Star Provider. Well done to Karen, Lawanya, Robyn, Clinton and the rest of the team at Dandenong. Congratulations to Simon and BRACE NEIS Program

The National NEIS Awards night in Melbourne and ‘Simply Ask Simon’ was a National Finalist in the Best New Business Awards category.   In early 2014 Simon was made redundant. He had never been without a job. Not to mention that his wife was due to have their second child in less than two weeks.
